understanding conflict resolution
Measuring a person’s behaviour in relation to two dimensions – competitiveness and co-operation – the TKI acts as a simple but intuitive diagnostic.
Five different approaches to or ‘modes’ of handling conflict are revealed, offering insight into potential for change in certain situations. This encourages self-awareness and enables the “conflict facilitator” to open group discussions around conflict, influencing styles and critical decision-making.
encouraging adaptability
The TKI is ideal for helping an individual explore their influencing style and how they can adapt this to be a more effective negotiator. It can also enhance group dynamics, and is applicable at every level of an organisation.
The TKI promotes the idea that different strategies work better in different situations and that by being more aware of our ‘default’ approach, we can choose the most appropriate style to achieve the desired result.
